Dr. Erekson received her bachelor and medical degrees from the University of Illinois and her Master of Public Health from Brown University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Louis University, followed by a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and an NIH T32 fellowship in epidemiology and clinical trials, both at Women and Infants’ Hospital of Rhode Island/Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Dr. Erekson a clinician-scientist who is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the sub-specialty of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (also known as Urogynecology) and serves as a ABOG sub-specialty certifying examiner. Her research focuses on outcomes in gynecology, the epidemiology of female pelvic floor disorders, health services research in women’s health and quality improvement. Past research endeavors have included investigations of the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP), American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Project (ACS NSQIP), the National Survey of Ambulatory Surgery (NSAS), Health and Retirement Study (HRS) and the Nurses’ Health Study (NHS). In 2012, she was awarded the Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center Career Development award in conjunction with an R03 award from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) Grants for Early Medical/Surgical Specialists Transition into Aging Research (GEMSSTAR) program.
Dr. Erekson also has a strong focus on quality improvement and outcomes in gynecologic surgery. She serves a voting member of the National Quality Forum’s (NQF) Standing Surgical Committee for the endorsement of quality metrics in surgical care. She also serves as an American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) committee chair, quality council member, and national advisor of the Quality Improvement and Outcomes Research Network facilitating the collection of data on variation in practice patterns and outcomes for the surgical treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence across 9 different health systems in the United States and Canadian. In 2017, she won the American College of Surgeons-American Urogynecologic Society’s joint scholarship to the Brandeis University Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management.

Dr. Jason Lachance is the Residency Program Director and a gynecologic oncologist at MaineHealth Gynecology Cancer Care - Scarborough. Dr. Lachance is a native of New Hampshire. His professional interests include undergraduate and graduate medical education, decision analysis modeling, cost effectiveness research, and quality outcomes research.
In his free time, Dr Lachance enjoys running and vegetable gardening, as well as spending time having fun and exploring Maine with his wife, Amanda, and their two children, Will and Charlotte.

Dr. Foust-Wright lives in Freeport with her family. She has clinical interests in surgical and nonsurgical management of pelvic floor disorders, medical education, and global health, specifically providing urogynecologic care in resource-poor settings. When away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, reading mystery novels, sailing, and hiking with their Labrador rescue.

Dr. Soultanakis joined the staff at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in 2013 as the director of the division of gynecologic oncology. He is an avid and very experienced sailor, having sailed across the Atlantic Ocean. He lives in Falmouth with his wife Julia and their two children Jack and Tia.

Dr. Spratt is the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division at MHMMC. He also oversees the resident research program. Dr. Spratt grew up in California. He is currently involved in teaching, patient care, and research with a lab at MaineHealth Institute for Research (MHIR). Dr. Spratt actively conducts and publishes research studies and holds leadership positions in the Endocrine Society. When not working at MHMMC, Dr. Spratt enjoys outdoor activities, music, running, reading, and dining with his wife and their two daughters.
