I have the best job ever. Every day I care for pregnant mothers and their unborn children who are often in difficult situations. The mother may have a serious medical problem, the fetus may have a serious birth defect, or perhaps the pregnancy has run into a major problem. The best part is that the outcomes are generally good. I enjoy talking with patients and their families, especially if it is to give them good news! I can make a difference that truly lasts a life time. In those few unfortunate circumstances that end poorly, I can still make a difference in helping the family with their grief. Even after 35 years, I find my chosen profession to be professionally and personally rewarding.  I love caring for my patients, their families and future generations.
