The MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital ALS clinic provides evaluation and treatment to patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
We invite you to partner with us as we strive to meet the practical, social, informational physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those affected by this devasting illness.
ALS clinic fund
Donations to our ALS Clinic Fund also allow us to offer important educational resources for caregivers and opportunities for caregivers to come together, virtually or in person, to share ideas, get support, and hear about helpful hints. Whether we are sharing information with caregivers about adaptive clothing designed for people who have difficulty dressing, adaptive communicative devices and applications, noninvasive ventilation (NIV), Hoyer Lifts or PEG tube feeding this area of our clinic’s focus can lead to a better quality of life for our patients.
ALS patient assistance fund
By making a gift to our ALS Patient Assistance Fund you are helping us provide scholarships, hotel rooms, gas cards, and meals for family and caregivers as well as helping to purchase many types of unreimbursed supplies, equipment, and support for our ALS patients.
Regardless of how you wish to direct your contribution, your support of the MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital ALS clinic and the people we serve will be greatly appreciated and will truly make a difference.
