You may also wish to help secure our legacy of care for the future by making a planned gift to Mid Coast Hospital. Whether you include MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital in your estate plan, establish an Endowment Fund, or create a Charitable Gift Annuity, making a planned gift to MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital benefits both the donor and the future of health care for our community.
Should you desire to make a planned gift to MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital, you will become a member of our esteemed Heritage Circle Giving Society. Heritage Circle Members enjoy special lectures and events on current issues in health care presented by physician leaders. A plaque will be installed in the hospital lobby in your honor.
A Named Endowment Fund may be established with an initial gift of $1,000 or more. The endowment can be named for you, your family, or a loved one. A plaque will be installed in the hospital lobby with your Endowment Fund’s name. Endowment gifts live in perpetuity--only the interest is used, where needed most.

Setting up a recurring gift is an easy way to support MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital while spreading your gift throughout the year. To set up a recurring gift, visit our online donation page, select Recurring Gift for the gift type, and indicate the frequency and dates you prefer.
Giving long-term appreciated stock offers you a two-fold tax saving. First, you receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift. If you are 70 1/2 years or older, you can make tax-free, charitable donations to MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital, CHANS Home Health & Hospice, or Mid Coast Senior Health directly from your IRA. This convenient charitable giving opportunity became a permanent part of the federal tax code in 2015 and allows for direct transfers from a traditional IRA to eligible not-for-profit organizations.
