Academic Tracks for Residents and Fellows

To provide supplementary educational opportunities for residents and fellows with interest in clinical education, leadership, research and clinical informatics, the Department of Graduate Medical Education offers five academic track programs.

Combining one-on-one mentorship, group educational sessions and self-directed learning, our academic tracks are facilitated around longitudinal cohorts of trainees, developing individualized research and teaching projects.

Academic Tracks

  1. Resident Research: 30-month longitudinal track for residents
  2. Clinical Informatics: 14-month longitudinal track for residents
  3. Resident Education and Leadership (CELT): 24-month longitudinal track for residents
  4. Fellow Clinician Educator: 14-month longitudinal track for fellows
  5. Healthcare Administration and Leadership Track (HALT): 14-month longitudinal track for any trainee who desires more experience in health care administration
