The Campaign for Coastal Health represented an investment in the delivery of excellent health care for everyone in mid coast Maine. With generous support from individuals and businesses in our community, as well as from foundations, we celebrated the opening of the MaineHealth Charlotte & Christopher Beebe Health Center in December 2020.
Phase II of the MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital emergency department expansion and renovation is complete!
The state-of-the-art facility improves access to emergency care by providing an increased number of rooms (from 13 to 21), including two trauma rooms and a specialized behavioral health suite with three patient rooms, a patient lounge, a nurse station and a dedicated care team member workspace, which results in reduced patient wait times and increased privacy for patients and visitors.
In appreciation of the support we received, a wall honoring all donors to the Campaign for Coastal Health was installed on the second floor waiting room of the MaineHealth Charlotte & Christopher Beebe Health Center in 2024. Every donation, regardless of the amount, is deeply appreciated and we are truly grateful for the support.
Emergency Department Expansion
When complete, the MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital emergency department renovation and expansion will provide a state-of-the-art facility and nearly double the exam rooms for patient care.
Having built one of the largest and most respected roofing companies in Maine, Peter Horch is now building a safety net for his community.
First National Bank made a gift of $50,000 to support of the 42,000-square-foot Beebe Health Center.
