Application requirements 

  • PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy received before start date of residency
  • Eligible for Maine Pharmacist licensure
  • Virtual interview required
  • All application materials to be submitted online via PhORCAS specified due date
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Letter of Intent
  • Three letters of recommendation submitted online via PhORCAS from any of the following: college faculty, rotation preceptors, or employers
  • Official copy of pharmacy school transcripts only
  • Successful completion of PGY1 required for PGY2 program

PGY1 application process

  • Virtual interview offers will be extended after application review
  • An optional onsite ‘Open House’ is scheduled approximately 1 week prior to rank list deadline, at the conclusion of virtual PGY1 interviews
  • The Optional Open House is an opportunity for interested applicants to visit Portland, tour MHMMCP, and meet the preceptors and staff in person
  • The Optional Open House is not a part of the interview process, and is not utilized to rank applicants (Ranks for the ‘Match’ are determined solely by the virtual interview itself)
  • Attendance at the Optional Open House is not a requirement of the interview process, and is solely for the benefit of applicants to get to know our program, and to help the applicant prepare their own ranks for the Match
  • Contact Nathan Laliberte for the Open House date in order to arrange your travel by early January

Stipends

  • PGY1: $51,000 per year
  • PGY2: $52,500 per year

Additional compensation available at clinical pharmacist rate of pay for extra shifts worked with RRPD approval
