MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital Radiology performs over 3000 mammograms a year using state of the art digital mammography equipment. Our expert team of technologists will work with you to make the experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Our experienced board-certified radiologist reviews and interprets mammography results onsite.
We also offer breast care support services. We here to answer your questions about abnormal mammogram results and help make and informed decision about the next step in your care.
Our new, permanent, wide bore Phillips Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine features an increased weight limit, larger opening, and standardized technology allowing for easier collaboration throughout the system. It also features ambient lighting and optional music for patients which helps reduce anxiety and increase comfort.
The MRI technology will allow for new scanning services in the future, like advanced brain imaging, breast MRI and arthrograms.
