The MaineHealth Maine Medical Center (MHMMC) ACGME-accredited addiction medicine fellowship program provides training opportunities in:
- Acute hospital care
- Inpatient consultation
- Outpatient clinic services
- Community-based settings
The fellowship is a multidisciplinary program with a curriculum that spans multiple departments, clinical services and community organizations. Our partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) enables fellows to work in both health care systems. The Togas VA Medical Center, located five miles east of Augusta, Maine, is a 67 operating-bed facility with general medical, surgical, intermediate and mental health beds, and strong addiction medicine programs. Fellows will spend time at Togus and at affiliated outpatient VA clinics.
Our Mission
Our mission is to train physicians to be leaders in the field of addiction medicine (AM). AM fellows will be compassionate patient care providers, lifelong learners and teachers, and healthy contributing members of their communities.
