How is a liver test done?
A care team member will draw your blood into a vial, using a small needle. This vial will be sent to a lab where the blood will be tested for proteins and/or enzymes produced by the liver.
How do I prepare for a liver test?
Tell your health care provider about all medications and vitamins/supplements that you are taking. These could affect your liver function. Your doctor will inform you if you need to fast before this test.
