What is interventional radiology?
Interventional radiology is a medical specialty that safely treats diseases and conditions using diagnostic imaging equipment. These procedures are minimally invasive, which means they are done with tiny incisions instead of one large opening as with conventional surgery. Patients usually have less pain and their recovery time is shorter.
