Our expert providers assess and treat emotional and behavioral challenges in people diagnosed with developmental disorders. Outpatient services include psychiatry, psychology, developmental pediatrics, behavior analysis, outpatient therapy and case management. We also have three onsite school programs: early intervention, preschool and K-12.
Who we serve
Our providers serve children, adolescents and adults who have an established diagnosis of autism and/or intellectual disabilities and are experiencing significant behavioral health challenges requiring a team approach to care.

Outpatient Referrals: We require a referral from the patient's primary or specialty care provider, such as a PCP, developmental-behavioral pediatrician or neurologist. Referrals must include a:
- Psychiatry referral
- Diagnostic evaluation
- Clear clinical question (autism alone is not accepted)
MaineHealth providers may refer through Epic. Non-MaineHealth providers may fax referrals to 207-810-4991.
Early Intervention Referrals: Children can be referred by their doctor or through Child Development Services. MaineHealth providers may refer through EPIC. We accept commercial insurance and MaineCare (section 28). Our team will support the family with the enrollment process.
Preschool Referrals: Child Development Services (CDS) facilitates referrals through the IEP process.
Kindergarten through 12th Grade Referrals: School districts facilitate referrals through the IEP process.
