Spirituality is a source of hope and comfort to many, especially during challenging situations such as illness or injury. That's why a MaineHealth Stephens Hospital chaplain is available to offer spiritual support to hospitalized patients, their family, and care team members.
Compassionate support for all religious and spiritual traditions
Chaplain services are available for people of all religious affiliations and belief systems. No matter where you are on life’s journey, a chaplain is available for spiritual care.
Meet our chaplain:
Lindy is a Maine School of Ministry graduate and has completed four units of clinical pastoral education through Spiritual Care Services of Maine. She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and has a diverse faith background that includes Eastern religions, Catholicism and Protestant churches of various theological traditions. One of her favorites is outdoor spirituality, drawing on her experience as a former registered Maine Guide. She lives with her retired team of sled dogs, who have shared many adventures over the years.
Visit our chapel
The chapel is located on the first floor of MaineHealth Stephens Hospital. It is open 24/7 as a place to be alone with your thoughts and prayers, to sit with family members and friends, or to simply enjoy some peace and quiet. A prayer journal is available to record prayer requests. Bibles and spiritual literature are also available.
