Rotations are arranged in 2 week blocks. Fellows have one half day of protected didactic time each week. During the first year, fellows have at least two weeks for research/scholarly activity. During the second year, fellows will have one day per week to work on scholarly projects during their elective blocks including maternal fetal medicine, pediatrics and outpatient podiatry rotations.
During a four week research block, fellows will have 50% of their time dedicated to scholarly activity and the rest to outpatient clinics. During the second year, fellows will complete a retina clinic and a wound care/podiatry rotation. Elective options include gender medicine, obesity medicine, maternal fetal medicine, female reproductive endocrinology and pediatric endocrinology.
First-year fellow (predominately inpatient)
- 18 weeks of in-patient service in 2 week blocks
- 20 weeks of Continuity Clinic including thyroid ultrasound/FNA and specialized clinics
- 2 weeks of research time
- Elective rotation time for the remainder of the year
Second-year fellow
- 8 weeks of in-patient service in 2 week blocks
- 20 weeks of Continuity Clinic including thyroid ultrasound/FNA and specialized clinics
- Dedicated research time
- Elective rotations including pediatric endocrinology, lipid clinic
