Tiffany L Townsend, FNP

I work with patients who have viral hepatitis (hepatitis B or hepatitis C) and/or HIV, and prescribe PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) to those at high risk of acquiring HIV. I am particularly interested in the intersection of care between viral hepatitis, HIV, and substance use disorder, and the public health implications of this. I am honored to build partnerships forged in trust and respect with my patients, to meet each person where she or he is, and to help them work towards meeting their health care goals.

I am certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and have earned my HIV Specialist certification through the American Academy of HIV Medicine.

I was born & raised here in Maine, and can’t imagine living anywhere else. In my free time, I enjoy many outdoor activities with my wife and yellow lab, including skiing, kayaking, swimming, and downhill mountain biking.
