- Internal Medicine
I am Board certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. I love caring for patients with possible infectious diseases because I am always, unequivocally, on the side of the patient as we fight together against the pathogen trying to do them harm. My research experience includes studying the way pandemic viruses attack the body (pathogenesis) and how the body fights back (immunity). Our immune system is critical to our survival, and anytime it is not functioning correctly or being outwitted by a pathogen, my role is to help stack the odds in favor of the patient. Lastly, I believe teaching the next generation of medical professionals is key to continued medical advancement and I embrace opportunities to teach at all levels so that we can all enjoy the best medical care possible.
