Mohammad Farooq Usmani

After obtaining my M.Sc. from University of Cambridge in UK, I joined medical school at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. I was thrilled at the opportunity to complete my vascular surgery training at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center. I was ecstatic when the opportunity arose to continue my practice at Maine Health and to be able to provide care to patients residing in and around Maine! I am thrilled to be able to call Maine my permanent home.

Vascular disease is complex and requires a long-term relationship between patients, families, and the surgeon. I feel fortunate to be able to build long term relationships with my patients. I have a particular interest in aortic disease, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease and limb preservation. Depending on the patient and disease pattern, I utilize both open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular techniques to treat the disease.

When not taking care of patients, I love spending time with my wife and two kids. We love exploring the outdoors regardless of the season or the temperature!
