There are a variety of reasons patients seek out healthcare including acute, chronic issues, wellness visits and prevention. The goal for providers remains the same — create an environment where the patient feels safe to communicate and feel heard. I have maintained core values for patient care stemming from 16 practicing as an RN, which will follow me as a new Wound Care NP. My background includes a degree in fine arts; I believe the formation of provider to patient relationships is a creative, organic process that takes the form of “shared decision making.” I take pride in guiding patients through their healthcare journey with treatment plans including education and being actively involved. In my spare time, I enjoy biking, kayaking and hiking in Maine’s beautiful landscape in the summer and ice skating in the winter with my three children.
