Megan E Smetana, CPNP
- Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric, Acute Care
After graduating from Boston College in 2000, I began my nursing education in the Masters Entry Program at the University of California San Francisco in 2002. I worked as a staff nurse in the PICU, Pediatric Cardiac ICU and NICU at UCSF while I completed my Masters of Science in 2007. I was a member of the first class of students to graduate from the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program at UCSF. I relocated to Boston where I worked as a nurse practitioner in the division of cardiology at Boston Children’s Hospital, specializing in the care of patients with heart rhythm disorders. In 2012, my family and I moved to Maine when I joined the Congenital Heart team. In my free time, I am an avid reader and enjoy exploring the beautiful state of Maine with my husband and children.
