My passion for my specialty in colon and rectal surgery stems from a belief that I can use my knowledge and skills to improve the lives of others. No one ever expects to be told that they or a loved one has colon cancer or expects to suddenly be faced with chronic therapy for a life altering diagnosis such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. I understand how overwhelming it can be to navigate the complex intricacies of the medical system. As a surgeon, I strive to alleviate patients' suffering in collaboration with the patient’s own personal goals of care in mind, whether it be to operate for a cure and freedom from their disease or for palliation to maximize their quality of life and time with their loved ones. To this end, I remain on the forefront of medical and surgical therapies and technology to bring the best colorectal surgery has to offer patients.
