Jillian K Smith, MD

I am thrilled to be joining a great group of surgeons here at MaineHealth to help provide breast surgical care to our community. Having grown up in Massachusetts, spending time in Maine and throughout New England over the years, my family and I are excited to return "home."

I want my patients to know that I care about them. I am sympathetic to the impact that a cancer diagnosis has on my patients and their families. My years of education and training, as well as ongoing work, are all for the goal of being the best physician and surgeon that I can be for my patients.

After completing surgical residency, I chose to pursue additional fellowship training in surgical oncology and breast surgery. Following training, I joined the surgical oncology group at WellSpan Health in Pennsylvania, where I specialized in the care of breast cancer patients and served as the director of the breast program. I am now grateful for the opportunity to provide that care here in Maine. I strive for the best for my patients and feel privileged to be a part of their lives.

When not at work, my time is dedicated to my family - my husband and I spend our time trying to keep up with two energetic young children and a spunky little dog. We like to stay active and be outside as much as possible, so Maine is perfect for us!
