Alan Segal

Dr. Segal is a physician-scientist and clinical-educator who has been a nephrologist since completing his fellowship at Yale in 1992. His practice experience covers the entire spectrum of clinical nephrology with specific expertise in fluid/electrolytes, acid-base, and acute kidney injury. For more than a decade, he was also a nephrology fellowship program training director.

Dr. Segal moved to Maine in March 2022 and is very excited to be working collaboratively with the strong group of nephrologists and nurses in partnership with patients and their families. He is devoted to helping anyone with any problem related to the kidney.

He is a lifelong Cubs fan, a patron of the arts—particularly Broadway and its history—and a student of comedy—particularly Improv as practiced at the original Second City in Chicago.
