Prior to moving to our beloved community of Brunswick 24 years ago, we lived in the District of Columbia area surrounded by major big-city academic hospitals. We wondered if we might expect the same excellent level of health care in Maine. Medical care was among our top priorities, knowing that none of us can predict exactly when we will need the help of medical professionals.
When David received his first serious diagnosis three years ago from Mid Coast Hospital, it confirmed that we made the right decision! Thanks in large part to generous philanthropic support from people like you, coupled with the highly skilled, caring and dedicated teams at Mid Coast Hospital and MaineHealth, he has been receiving world-class care right here close to home.
The expertly coordinated care that he has, and is receiving, based upon the latest advances in internal medicine, cardiology and pulmonology, started with the care he received at Mid Coast Hospital. We are deeply grateful to you for helping ensure our hospital continues to maintain the infrastructure, technology and equipment, innovative partnerships, and patient care services that are essential to providing the kind of care he needed. Like you, we truly believe in the value of a having a strong local hospital in our community, and we proudly endorse and support the Mid Coast Hospital Annual Giving Campaign. Operative Hysteroscopy instruments to enhance the diagnosis & treatment of cervical & uterine conditions ($42,200)
Mammography Biopsy System to precisely identify and biopsy breast abnormalities ($123,000)
Glidescope to facilitate the quick restoration of a patient’s airway ($13,500)
Diabetic Retina Camera for use in screening patients with diabetes for retinopathy ($23,000)
