The MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital Nurse Training Program is offered in partnership with Central Maine Community College. Students have the opportunity to earn their licensed practical nursing (LPN) certification within a year. After that, students may choose to continue on for a second year to become a registered nurse (RN) or, take up to five years to complete their RN training requirements.
Become a health care hero
The MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital Nurse Training Program works collaboratively with colleges, clinical departments of the hospital, long term care facilities, MaineHealth, Lincoln Academy, and local businesses. Students receive classroom training at Central Maine Community College and in classrooms at the MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital Education Center in Damariscotta. An agreement with Lincoln Academy allows students to use their science labs for a percentage of their work.
Clinical training is at the MaineHealth Miles Campus and at Cove's Edge. MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital provides administration services, clinical training, equipment, supplies, technical support, telecommunications, and full scholarships in support of the nursing school program.
