Apply and Benefits | MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital Pharmacy Residency

All Non-US citizens are required to have proper visas allowing for completion of the full one year long residency program; MaineHealth cannot sponsor visas.

Application Requirements

  • Graduation from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited PharmD program or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) before start date
  • Eligible for Maine Pharmacist licensure
  • An interview is required
  • All application materials to be submitted online via PhORCAS specified due date
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Letter of Intent
  • Three letters of recommendation submitted online via PhORCAS from any of the following: college faculty, rotation preceptors, or employers
  • Official copy of pharmacy school transcripts only

PGY1 Application Process

  • Virtual and on-site interview offers will be extended after application review
  • An optional onsite ‘Open House’ is scheduled approximately 1 week prior to rank list deadline, at the conclusion of virtual PGY1 interviews
  • The Optional Open House is an opportunity for interested applicants to visit Brunswick, tour MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital, and meet the preceptors and staff in person
  • The Optional Open House is not a part of the interview process, and is not utilized to rank applicants (Ranks for the ‘Match’ are determined by virtual or in person interview)
  • Attendance at the Optional Open House is not a requirement of the interview process, and is solely for the benefit of applicants to get to know our program, and to help the applicant prepare their own ranks for the Match
  • Contact Aaron Koch for the Open House date in order to arrange your travel by early January
